In 2019 and 2020, U+B worked with the City of Granite Falls, MN and the landscape architecture firm of Damon Farber and Associates to revitalize the Granite Falls Memorial Park located on the south side of the Mississippi River. The two-part project included the restoration of a much beloved 1930’s era WPA Shelter House which is bein utilized as a covered picnic and events space with storage below for maintenance equipment and supplies. This renovation was carefully coordinated with the State Historic Preservation Office and included structural and fireplace repairs as well as cosmetic updates. In addition to the Shelter House renovations, U+B worked with Damon Farber to refurbish the park trails and provide a new bathroom building which also included showring facilities for campers.
