This subtle addition to a Minneapolis home created an efficient layout accommodating a master suite, home office and much-needed renovations of two existing bathrooms. The design, for a family of five, included multiple storage solutions and cabinetry in the bathrooms and master suite while maintaining a sensitivity to the trim and tile patterns original to this 1920s-era house. Large bays of windows, a vivid color palette and abundant bookshelves afford the freelance writer of the family an upbeat home office to retreat to.
