Warner Residence  Minneapolis, MN 2005

The Warners' 1900's Arts and Crafts home had a poor connection to the backyard and ill-defined outdoor space. The addition opens the existing house to the outdoors via a new screened porch, from which one can step out onto a terrace to the south or take in views of a "green wall" of landscape to the north. Working within the constraints posed by this tight urban lot, we also sited a new garage, mudroom and powder room to maintain as much green space as possible and preserve tall shade trees on the site.
