Johnson Orenga Residence  Golden Valley, MN 2003

This single family home for a couple with two children was built on an extremely tight budget. In order to control costs the building shell was simplified and constructed with an eye toward the efficiency of standard building modules. Careful attention was paid to the proportion of the spaces, the direction of the sun and views of the wooded site. The result is an open and light-filled home which stands as a contemporary contrast to the standard suburban builder home.
